Piloting and evaluation

RESOURCES

Work Package 4 (WP4)

Work Package 4 (WP4) is dedicated to the piloting and evaluation of the educational tools developed in the project, including the 360º videos and Virtual Reality (VR) scenarios. The primary objective of WP4 is to test these innovative learning resources in real educational settings to assess their effectiveness and gather feedback from students, teachers, and other stakeholders.

During this phase, the tools created in previous work packages will be integrated into the vocational training curriculum at partner institutions. Students will use the immersive videos and VR stations to practice healthcare procedures, and their experiences will be closely monitored. The feedback collected will provide valuable insights into how well these tools prepare students for real-world healthcare tasks and whether they improve their skills, confidence, and knowledge retention.

WP4 also focuses on evaluating the impact of these resources on both students and teachers, ensuring that the tools meet the project’s educational objectives. It will assess factors such as:

How effectively the videos and VR scenarios simulate real-life situation.

The level of student engagement and motivation.

Improvements in students' practical and digital skills.

This evaluation phase will be critical in identifying any areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments to optimize the learning tools.

Questions

  • Have you used Virtual Reality (VR) before this activity?
  • On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy was it to use the VR program?
    (1 = very difficult, 5 = very easy)
  • Did you feel immersed in the VR environment?
  • Was the length of the VR simulation appropriate?
  • Was it easy to understand what you were expected to do during the VR simulation?
  • Do you think this technology helps you learn new techniques? Why or why not?
  • Did you feel that you learned something new from this VR exercise?
  • Were you able to practice the CVA (stroke) technique effectively in VR?
  • Were you able to practice the heart attack technique effectively in VR?
  • Were you able to practice the hyperventilation technique effectively in VR?
  • What should be improved or changed in the VR experience? Please provide one suggestion.
  • Would you like to continue using VR simulations for other subjects or topics?
